Christmas wishlist.

Posted by Jeff |

Hey, Christmas is tomorrow, and everybody wants to buy something right? Well, just to share with you all, here's what I want to have this Christmas season.

1. Computer upgrade - Well, I really need a new video card(preferably 256MB), a new motherboard for it of course, maybe a new sound card too. Additional RAM would be nice too.
2. Nintendo Wii - Hey, this was also on my Christmas wishlist last year, and I still haven't got it. :P
3. Nintendo DS - Well, I'm missing out on some good games here on the DS, just like Pokemon D/P, so I want one too.
4. Les Paul - Ya rly. Well, even though I do not know how to play the guitar, I want one so that I would be more inspired to learn how to play like Slash. :P
5. FIFA 08(PS2) - Well, every FIFA08 copy here in DasmariƱas sucks big time.

Well, I guess that's all that I want for Christmas today. :D

Happy Holidays to you all who reads this.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too.

Update!

"Take me down to the Paradise City, where the grass is green and the girls are pretty. Oh won't you please take me home."
- Paradise City, Guns n' Roses

That was from GnR's catchy song, the chorus to be exact.

Well anyway, I do not have a lot of things to say.

Basic Research gets ten times harder each day. The pressure. MF'n subject.

I'm a little nervous about our(err... my?) project in Computer, since I'm gonna be workin' alone.

Well, new wallpaper here in my blog. =P

Yay update!

Posted by Jeff |

YES! I have good news everybody!

So... While I was away from my blog, a lot of things had happened.

1. I bought Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock last November 3, and finished it last November 4! Take note, that was on Expert using the guitar controller. ;)

2. Me and me beloved girlfriend had our anniversary last November 4, and I consider beating Lou as a gift for myself. :D

3. We gots DSL! No more dial-up! Woohoo! I srsly went to YouTube the moment I sat down in front of the computer.

4. Upgrade from WinXP to WinVista! Well... Yeah, I upgraded it myself... And man, it was boring as hell. If you do not have anything to do, you'll be staring for almost/atleast 2 hours on the monitor.

Well... Card distribution is coming this Friday, and I'm nervous about my grades... Especially in Filipino. *prays for atleast 82*

Oh yeah. Football. Well, Arsenal's unbeaten in 27 straight games! Beat that ManU!

Basketball. As expected, Boston's the team to beat this season. Garnett + Allen + Pierce = ???

Gah, I can't think of anything else to post. So I guess this is the end of this post.

F'n projects...

Posted by Jeff |

Yes, well... If you care, we have a LOT of projects for this quarter... Here's the breakdown:

Project in English. Create your own story of creation(by pair) and make a presentation of it, by any way possible.

Project in Basic Research. Chapters 1, 2 and 3.

Project in Filipino. El Filibusterismo: Ang Pagpapatuloy. You add 10 more chapters to the legendary part II of Jose Rizal's masterpiece.

Project in CLE. I dunno how to say it... A presentation. That's it. In a CD. Maybe like a slideshow or MTV... I dunno.

And if you think those were easy, think again. Most of the project's deadline is this coming week, and a typhoon would definitely help.

And oh, please take my Friend Test if you have time. It's on the lower left corner of my blog.

Dial-up sucks. + New layout.

Posted by Jeff |

Yes, you read the title right. Dial-up indeed sucks.

Frequent disconnections.

Slow speed.

But then again, I think we would be upgrading to DSL pretty soon. So yay!

And I've got a new, simple layout I created myself...

Okay, okay. Jio helped me a little.

Yay update!

Posted by Jeff |

Yes folks, for the first time since June 10(am I right?), I have updated again!

And you know, this day(Sept. 1) I think my luck just went up sky high.

First, after waking up I found myself in front of the computer, and since I'm a dial-up user since birth, I thought, "What if I compare the speed of this f*****' PC to the speed of a 3G-enabled cellphone?" so I went to Symbianize(see links part for the link of this site) and asked there on how to activate 3G. And yeah, somebody replied and I activated my 3G! Hurray! So I immediately tested it and concluded, "This is 2-5 times faster than dial-up."

Second, I found my good 'ol useful USB-MP3 player so I uploaded some songs on it. I could now jam with Guns n' Roses without using my cellphone! Hurray!

Third, I found our old monitor and took its speakers, now my computer has sounds again! Hurray!

Fourth, E-Games just released a manual patch to download for O2Jam. So I downloaded it and boom! O2Jamming again after around 2-4 months of absence on the Euta/Thalo servers!

Last but not least, Blogger suddenly opened here on my PC! I could post again!

And news from my favorite sport:

Manchester United got a bad start, LOL, I'm wishing they would get relegated.

Arsenal got a pretty good start, and Hleb is in good form. I didn't expect him to stand up after Thierry Henry's transfer. Tomas Rosicky is also back, adding up spice to the offense of the Gunners.

Chelsea's start was good. And they're trying to reclaim the trophy and they do have a good chance of winning it.

Liverpool's also in good shape. Torres is their main pointer right now and they could win the League if they would keep this up.

On FIBA-Americas:

USA would win, no doubt about that. Just... Just... Just look at the f'n line up. It could kill any team, anytime.

Oh well, that's it for now. I'm sleepy.

Transformers the Movie.

Posted by Jeff |

Yeah, well...
Heard of Transformers? Yes? Good.
Heard of it becoming a movie? Yes? Good.
Wanna watch it? Yes? Good.
Heard of its release date? Yes? Very good.

Heard of my birthdate? Yes? Good.

Long story cut short, Transformers the Movie would be shown(sabi nila sakin :P) on July 4. The Independence Day of America! Hurray!

My birthday! HURRAY!

Seriously, I'm thinking about treating my friends(if ever they are available) on my birthday, we're gonna watch this movie.

So, suggestions pls.

School's back!

Posted by Jeff |

Noooooooo! It's Sunday already... Somebody's gonna wake me up at 5:30 in the morning!

I always hate this time of year. I hate 3/4 of the year. Who loves to go to school anyway? Yeah, maybe you do... But I don't!

Argh! Good luck to me! And to you too. ~_^

Oh well, this is life!

No more time for long post. I'm in a hurry here!

6 Weird Things About Me. *bow*

Posted by Jeff |

Each player of this games starts with 6 weird things about you. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state the rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says you are tagged in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Yeah. I got tagged, so... Here. 6 weird things about me.

1. When I was a kid, I always thought the basketball crowd were chanting "Pippen!" instead of "Defense!" so I thought they want to hire Scottie Pippen or something.

2. I practice football moves(elastico, rabona, rai flick to name some) on our house... Using a basketball ball or a volleyball ball instead of a football ball. Balls. Dammit. Anyway, it it because my football ball(here we go again) is currently missing... Well, it's not my football ball... It was my cousin's football ball. Damn balls.

3. I always forget things(makakalimutin). I dunno if that was weird, but hey, I'm still young and I live an active life. I don't have alzheimer's(whatever the spelling is) disease.

4. I always do that wrist flicking motion(some of you, y'know what I mean) whenver my body is on standby mode. I dunno why though. Good thing it stopped now. Haha.

5. Whenever I see someone cry and I look at their eyes... I always feel like I want to cry too. Again, I dunno why.

6. I do not get fat no matter how many set of meals I eat in a day. I dunno if I have worms on my stomach or intestines... But still... I wanna gain some weight...

School's out... no more. T_T

Posted by Jeff |

Yeah well... After the last day of school... I was singing this song by Alice Cooper... It's title is "School's Out"

Well we got no choice
All the girls and boys
Makin' all that noise
'Cause they found new toys

Well we can't salute ya
Can't find a flag
If that don't suit ya
That's a drag

School's out for summer!
School's out forever!
School's been blown to pieces!

No more pencils
No more books
No more teachers dirty looks

Well we got no class
And we got no principles
And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes

School's out for summer!
School's out forever!
My School's been blown to pieces!

School's out for summer!
School's out forever!
I'm bored to pieces!

Out for summer
Out till fall
We might not go back at all

School's out for ever
School's out for summer
School's out with fever
School's out completely
But now... Well, we only have about 9days left till doomsday. Well then... What else do we do? Last minute fun! Here's what I'm gonna do for the last days of summer:

1. Guitar Hero 2- I'm gonna try 5-starring Rock This Town, Beast and the Harlot, and Misirlou to get the Log!

2. Try sleeping earlier than normal. Now that school's back, we need to wake up early. Nobody wants to sleep for 30mins only!

3. Get another game, preferrably Okami/FFXII(again)/MGS:Portable Ops, and try to finish it before school.

4. Get my memory back in shape. Well, many of my friends know that I easily forget things, and because of summer... It has gotten worse. Now I need something to prevent that.

Oh well, let's just pray everything goes well this school year. ~_^

Pepe Reina saves the day!

Posted by Jeff |

YEAH! Liverpool are going to Athens!

Well, here's the story of their stunning win over Chelsea, I'll only tell the story of the penalty shootout. I'm watching(and pausing) it as I am posting here!

Liverpool strikes first.

Boudewijn Zenden steps up first for L'pool, kicks the ball, and goes to the back of the net!
1-0 for L'pool!

Arjen Robben goes first for Chelsea, kicks the ball, but Pepe Reina guessed it right, and saves the shot of Robben!
Still 1-0 for L'pool!

Xabi Alonso is next, kicks the ball, Petr Cech didn't save it, and Xabi scores!
2-0 for L'pool!

Frank Lampard is next to Xabi, he strikes, and this time Pepe didn't save it! Lampard scores Chelsea's first!
2-1, with L'pool still in the lead!

Steven Gerrard goes to the penalty area, strikes, and for the third time Cech didn't save it! Gerrard increases L'pool's lead!
3-1, L'pool's rolling!

Geremi is the 3rd Chelsea penalty taker, he goes for it, and Reina saves it! Geremi failed to decrease the gap!
3-1, L'pool is close in going to Athens!

The next penalty is critical for L'pool, if they hit it, they win and they go to Athens for the UEFA Champions League final showdown between the winner of the AC Milan/Man United match. If they miss, Chelsea still has a chance.

Dirk Kuyt is the decisive taker, he takes the penalty... AND HE SCORES! Kuyt has taken L'pool to Athens!

Final score: 1-1 aet., 4-1(PSO)

Man, that was some shootout!

Another rant + futbol happiness

Posted by Jeff |

Yeah. Well, yesterday, while I was reading miscellaneous things, I suddenly read someone below the poverty line about blaming the government for blah blah blah, y'know. And then I saw this quote: "Poverty is not a liscense nor an excuse to commit crime and blame the government."

And so I suddenly went berserk, grabbed my cellphone and sent a group message about my thoughts on the quote. That time when I went berserk was the first one this summer. Here's the message:

"Jeez, they vote for the person they want to lead, and then they go form a rally to oust the same person they voted for(Erap, GMA for example). I just don't get it. Another thing, they blame the government for not having any food to feed for their children, but the money they should be using to buy food ended up somewhere else. Drugs, luxury, personal needs. So, they are forced to become criminals to earn back that money, but [instead of earning the money] they could end up in jail. DAMN!"

Okay, set aside that rant. Let's go to my favorite sport.

UEFA Champions League, biggest event in European club-level football. Four teams remain: AC Milan[Italy], Manchester United[England], Chelsea[England] and Liverpool[England].(Boo! No Arsenal! T_T)

The first leg between Milan and ManUtd was yesterday, and I was sooooo happy to see the results. Wayne Rooney of ManUtd was back in his top form and he scored an injury time/added time goal to seal a 3-2 victory against Milan at Old Trafford[Utd's home ground]. But you could never say that ManUtd will go to the final, since Milan has 2 away goals at their pocket, and a 2-1 win at their own turf at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza will mean that it will be Milan who will be going to the final(away goals rule) but a 3-2 victory would mean extra time and possibly a penalty shootout. But if ManUtd wins, show is over, it's gonna be an all England club final.

And today would be the first leg of the Chelsea vs Liverpool semis. My bet here would be Liverpool, why?
1. Chelsea is Arsenal's rival. End of statement.
2. I don't want Chelsea to win the Treble this season.
3. I believe in Crouch, Gerrard and the other L'pool players.

Oh well, that ends my post. Haha. Have a nice day! d(",d)

FIFA07/Football

Posted by Jeff |

w00t. Haven't posted here in a while... Been busy playing FIFA07. Well, what is it?

It's a football game(obviously). And anyone who's in to football should know these leagues:
England's Premier League [Arsenal!]
France's Orange League 1(Ligue Orange 1) [Lyon!]
Spain's La Liga(Spanish Primera) [Real Madrid!]
Italy's Serie A [AC Milan!] [*On Serie B, it's Juventus!]
Germany's Bundesliga 1 [Bayern Munich!]

I do have a favorite team on those leagues, indicated inside [].

What's addicting in this game is the Manager Mode. Here you play the role of the Team Manager of any club you choose and your goal is to build your club as a powerhouse team for 15seasons(each season starts at around August/September and ends at May).

Err... Yeah.

Anyway, if you do like football, (support Arsenal!) check out the sites I usually go to.
www.premierleague.com -> Premier League
www.lfp.es -> La Liga

www.arsenal.com -> Arsenal's official webpage

and if you don't like football, nevermind this post. ^_^

JS... Prom?

Posted by Jeff |

Okay, so first of all... What's the difference between our Prom and our Celestial Party? Here are the answers. Seriously, there are differences.
1. attire(obviously)
2. free food
3. table assignment
4.rigodon de honor(again, obviously)

That's all... So, how about the similarity?
1. music(You're wearing a damn formal attire[gowns anyone?] and you're dancing to the beat of Sexy Back by J.Timberlake or Sugod by Sandwich... Just... Wow.)

Wow. Well, not that I'm complaining... but... It's just not right. The music I mean. Where else have I seen gown-wearing ladies and dudes that look like congressmen and senators that are dancing like wild? Only at RC. @_@

Uh... Yeah.

Posted by Jeff |

Well... Here I am again! I have gathered enough energy to make a post!

First, The NBA All-Star game. I had a bet with someone... Me betting that the East would crush the West, 155-134... But... The reciprocal(wow!) happened, the West defeated the East, 153-132.(Damn! Predicted score was so close!)

Second, my studies. Yup, I'm not having an easy time these days... I dunno why. Distractions maybe? Well, I don't think so. Maybe it's because I'm just lazy.

Third, a new layout. I'm sick of this layout I am presently using... So I'm hunting for a new one... Expect to see a change anytime now.

Oh well... That's all the energy I have.
